Jawharat Al-Maaden presents its brief for Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Happy Sovereignty Day to all Iraqi families.
What happened: On Monday, gold fell about 3% and silver about 4.6%. On Tuesday both recovered part of the loss: gold rose 1.4% to $4,185 and silver 1.2% to $61.52, after weak US economic data cooled fears of a rate hike.
What it means for buyers: Both metals are ending September lower, which gives savers more grams for the same money. Gold remains the main store of value. Silver offers a lower-cost way to start saving in metal.
Today’s gold reference: Before making charges, 24K is about $685 per mithqal and 21K about $609 per mithqal, based on Dubai rates.
Our advice: Choose 24K small bars and 21K liras for savings, since low making charges mean more metal for your money. Consider silver bars for smaller budgets. Buy in steps, and keep every receipt and certificate.
The honest caution: Metals are volatile, and silver moves even more than gold. Keep metals as part of your savings, not all of it.
